Ludlowe Dominates Darien 70-3

Ludlowe defeated Darien 70-3 in their opening match of the year. Ludlowe won 6 of the 7 matches wrestled with 3 by pin. The best bouts of the day were wrestled by Freshman Marcus Sherrod at 120 and Bobby Clark at 126. They both used solid technique to dominate their opponents. Alex Sullivan started the match at 160 with a major decision using leg rides to score 3 near falls to win. Ludlowe then got 7 forfeits in a row to make the score 46 to 0. Freshman Marcus Sherrod at 120 dominated his opponent with multiple double leg takedowns and turned his opponent with arm bars multiple times to win 17-4. Freshman Bobby Clark then followed with another solid performance. He started with a quick fireman’s carry to a near fall and pinned his opponent in the second period by taking him down directly to his back for the fall. At 132 Kyle DeCruccio scored a 43 second pin by taking him down directly to his back.  At 138 Freshman Chase Lind followed with a closed decision 9 to 6 against an older experienced wrestler. At 145 Peter Clark lost a close and hard fought 12 to 8 match. Freshman Lee Stenild-Joahnsen scored a nice head lock to start the match and later pinned in the first period.
